I get this when I press the Check button. It pops the dialog showing it downloading the repositories. That dialog then exits, but update-manager remains all just greyed out. It stays like this until I kill it. If I run from the console I see the following error after the repository download dialog exits:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/UpdateManager/backend/InstallBackendSynaptic.py", line 37, in _on_synaptic_exit self.emit("action-done", action) TypeError: 2 parameters needed for signal action-done; 1 given I have tried apt-get purge update-manager-core and reinstalling, but it still does it. It started doing it when I upgraded from Lucid to Meerkat. -- Update manager hangs after clicking on the install updates button https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/498492 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
