Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-nettool
OS: Ubuntu 10.10 (dual boot with Windows 7) Wireless package- Broadcom STA wireless driver "These package contains Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driverfor use with Broadcom's BCM4311-, BCM4312-, BCM4321-, andBCM4322-based hardware." The issue I am experiencing is that my wireless isn't showing up in the drop-down menu, nor is it showing up in the ifconfig feedback. Each time I start up my computer I have to reinstall the wireless drivers for it to get recognized, and then it works fine, until I shut it down again. I should also mention that I just upgraded to 10.10 today to try and get rid of this problem, but nothing changed. I had the exact same problem with it in 10.04 as 10.10. I know a lot of people with the exact same model of cocmputer who are also running Ubuntu who have never seen this kind of problem. ** Affects: gnome-nettool (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Wireless only works if I reinstall drivers on each startup. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/656059 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
