It seems the threding problems in dbus should be fixed in dbus 1.4. A bug with similar backtrace is already marked "resolved fixed" in bugs.kde.org. I note that the forthcoming Ubuntu 10.10 has already upgraded to 1.4 version of dbus, is there a chance that these fixes will be ported in Ubuntu Lucid?
