I confirm this bug. The same is with me. In fact at the time of upgrade from Lucid Lynx, the upgrade for the Toshiba temperature sensor driver fails. I believe the sensors for the core temperature modules are also failing.
Another thing is that while Ubuntu has made significant progress in making the clean installation from CD very seamless and easy, the same is not true for upgrades. It is full of a variety of bugs. This needs a serious change in future releases. For the sensors here is my output: $ sensors acpitz-virtual-0 Adapter: Virtual device temp1: +48.0°C coretemp-isa-0000 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 0: +59.0°C (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) coretemp-isa-0001 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 1: +59.0°C (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) I have never kept the laptop above 45 deg C. -- Lm-sensors in Maverick shows CPU core Temperatures too high https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/606733 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
