I made a Maverick USB stick and booted from USB. I followed the instructions to get the PulseAudio verbose log. I tried to record using the internal microphone and the standard Sound Recorder application. Nothing was recorded. The verbose log is attached. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X300, just like the original bug reporter.
