I've quite the same problem: freeze on suspend / shutdown / reboot with an HP Mini 100-3010sf with Ubuntu Netbook 10.10 (fresh install today; with backport + pre-version, same problem before I enabled these sources).
I guess it can be related to the Wi-Fi because I tried a simple thing. I booted on GDM, hit CTRL+ALT+F1 to display the shell. I then hit the « Wi-Fi » key on the keyboard. The console thrown 2 lines, and the PC freezed. Nothing is responding since. phy0 -> rt2800_wait_wpdma_ready: Error - WPDMA TX/RX busy, aborting. phy0 -> rt2x00pci_regbusy_read: Error - Indirect register access failed: offset=0x00007010, value=0xffffffff The Wi-Fi chipset is a RaLink RT3090 Wireless 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe accoding to lspci -vv Kernel driver in use: rt2800pci Kernel modules: rt2860sta, rt2800pci Thanks for helping :) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => New -- Lucid incompatible with HP Mini 110 BIOS (F.15) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/578868 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
