Ok, I admit this is my first "taste" of Ubuntu, and I rely on those
"howtos" floating on the Interent to help me.
I thought people won't post something that wouldn't work and claim it is
working, and it turns out that I'm wrong. This is what I get to hold
those "howtos" as "holly bibles".
I have found out that both "locale=en_EN console-setup/layoutcode=en"
are actually wrong, the latter is the culprit for this bug.
Case closed.
