Public bug reported: Immediately after install of Maverick on Dell Inspiron 9100 the networking has become very unstable. When an application attempts to establish a network connection (eg. Firefox connect to Google) the system intermittently hangs. No mouse, no keyboard, no activity of any kind. The display freezes. The only recourse is to push the power button until power is shut off.
This is reproducible about 75% of the time by simply launching Firefox and then attempting any internet connection. It also occurs when opening system utilities that use networking, for example Synaptic Package Manager. This did not occur, at all, before the upgrade to Maverick. It began immediately after the upgrade. The last good kernel was 2.6.32-25-generic. The kernel that's causing the problems is 2.6.35-22-generic.
