I made some tests with a new user and found out the following: - the bug occurs only if the terminal window is maximized - the bug occurs only if you enable the visual effects in System -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Visual Effects to at least 'normal'
I tried maverick from a live USB, but could not reproduce the bug since I was not able to install the driver needed to enable the visual effects.
