Technical Support of Terabyte Unlimited (publisher of BiNG) confirmed changes of the Extended Partition during the installation of Ubuntu 10.04. "There is a problem with Linux parttioning tools which create an invalid entry in an extended partition". In my opinion, it's compulsary 'formatting' of Swap during the Ubuntu installation, which makes changes to the Extended partition, at least, as it contains also non-Linux partitions preceding Swap.
