Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager In my Ubuntu 09.10 Karmic and 10.04 Lucid beta2 installation, when requested to hybernate (from the power icon in the panel) the PC gets frozen: - the monitor is switched off; - the HD read/write LED stays ON. Then, when I force to shutdown from the PC power button and I reboot, after the fscheck, no wired LAN network is detected (according what the related panel icon says). To finally restore functionality, I have to reboot once again. The hybernation worked properly with my HW till I left Jaunty for Intrepid. --- Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 GnomeSessionIdleInhibited: No GnomeSessionInhibitors: None GnomeSessionSuspendInhibited: No InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Beta i386 (20100318) MachineType: System manufacturer System Product Name Package: gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-19-generic-pae root=UUID=cafb5fea-90d8-4107-93e1-a06b412e4a55 ro quiet splash ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=it_IT.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-19.28-generic-pae 2.6.32.10+drm33.1 Tags: lucid Uname: Linux 2.6.32-19-generic-pae i686 UserGroups: adm admin audio cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev pulse pulse-access sambashare video dmi.bios.date: 03/20/2006 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 0801 dmi.board.name: P5GPL dmi.board.vendor: ASUSTeK Computer INC. dmi.board.version: Rev 1.xx dmi.chassis.asset.tag: Asset-1234567890 dmi.chassis.type: 3 dmi.chassis.vendor: Chassis Manufacture dmi.chassis.version: Chassis Version dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr0801:bd03/20/2006:svnSystemmanufacturer:pnSystemProductName:pvrSystemVersion:rvnASUSTeKComputerINC.:rnP5GPL:rvrRev1.xx:cvnChassisManufacture:ct3:cvrChassisVersion: dmi.product.name: System Product Name dmi.product.version: System Version dmi.sys.vendor: System manufacturer + + --- + Architecture: i386 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 + GConfNonDefault: + /apps/gnome-power-manager/lock/blank_screen=false + /apps/gnome-power-manager/lock/use_screensaver_settings=false + /apps/gnome-power-manager/notify/sleep_failed_uri= + /apps/gnome-power-manager/timeout/sleep_display_ac=600 + /apps/gnome-power-manager/ui/icon_policy=charge + GnomeSessionIdleInhibited: No + GnomeSessionInhibitors: None + GnomeSessionSuspendInhibited: No + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) + MachineType: System manufacturer System Product Name + Package: gnome-power-manager 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 + PackageArchitecture: i386 + ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35-22-generic root=UUID=78a63954-9db8-49d8-b682-763491d44e72 ro quiet splash + ProcEnviron: + PATH=(custom, no user) + LANG=it_IT.utf8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.34-generic 2.6.35.4 + Tags: maverick + Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic i686 + UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout dip fax floppy fuse lpadmin plugdev sambashare tape video + dmi.bios.date: 03/20/2006 + dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. + dmi.bios.version: 0801 + dmi.board.name: P5GPL + dmi.board.vendor: ASUSTeK Computer INC. + dmi.board.version: Rev 1.xx + dmi.chassis.asset.tag: Asset-1234567890 + dmi.chassis.type: 3 + dmi.chassis.vendor: Chassis Manufacture + dmi.chassis.version: Chassis Version + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr0801:bd03/20/2006:svnSystemmanufacturer:pnSystemProductName:pvrSystemVersion:rvnASUSTeKComputerINC.:rnP5GPL:rvrRev1.xx:cvnChassisManufacture:ct3:cvrChassisVersion: + dmi.product.name: System Product Name + dmi.product.version: System Version + dmi.sys.vendor: System manufacturer ** Attachment added: "BootDmesg.txt" https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/558853/+attachment/1696458/+files/BootDmesg.txt -- PC does not hybernate https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/558853 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
