Just tested its indeed a duplicate of bug 655241 I have built appmenu-
gtk in my ppa with the patch from bug 655241 and it fixes the problem.
you can simply install this file
https://edge.launchpad.net/~om26er/+archive/test/+build/2006157/+files
/appmenu-gtk_0.1.9-1ubuntu1_amd64.deb or use my ppa
https://edge.launchpad.net/~om26er/+archive/test

The favorite folders appears several times in the markers menu
