The first time I didn't even try to complete the installation when I saw
the message of the 'network card not detected'.

I have now completed the installation, and I am able to configure the
network card then. However, the name of the card is now wlan0. Its name
in previous ubuntu versions was eth0 (as in any other distro I have in
my box), and in dapper and edgy it changed to eth1 (don't know why).

This causes problems in the installation process, you can't download
language support in that moment, it has to be made afterwards, once
ubuntu is installed. Think of people who don't even understand written
English!

I am attaching the logs as suggested.

Thank you for your hard work in benefit of the community,
