I have EEE1101HA and I experience some problems with functional buttons
as well.

I have set acpi_osi=Linux in grub and that helped with some buttons
(wlan, brightness and most probably suspend - I have not checked if
suspend was not working before).

Power button produces unknown key 57. Other power like looking button
produces unknown key 6b. I'm not sure if I remember key codes correctly
(I will check that later today and correct if I'm wrong).

I might be slow to respond but I would be more than happy if I could
help to solve those problems. I'm not afraid to play with my system.
