This started when I upgraded from 9.04 -> 10.10. Get very noticeable
crackling/distortion on 100% of pidgin sounds. Tried changing sound from
Automatic to Alsa in pidgin and got no sound. Unsure if this is due to
improper configuration or not. All other sounds on the system are 100%
fine - Rhythymbox, Amarok, gxine, vlc, flash in browser.
