I have same problem (I try write mpeg2 video files using video disk
project) in Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick). After clicking on "burn..." button
brasero silently closes and no any message about "Internal error".

I run it from terminal:
$ brasero

** (brasero:9200): WARNING **: ERROR loading background pix : Failed to
open «/usr/share/brasero/logo.png»: No such file or directory

(brasero:9200): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_variant_builder_end: assertion

(brasero:9200): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_variant_get_type_string: assertion `value

GLib-ERROR **: g_variant_new: expected array GVariantBuilder but the built
