This wouldn't normally be an issue, except it's also affecting sound and video playback. Unfortunately, I can't find an earlier kernel in the repositories for desktops and wouldn't know how to get the GRUB menu to show if I could. And it's late, I'm tired and I'm lazy, dammit!
