** Description changed: I'm using an Asus K50IJ and I cannot mute the internal speaker when I'm using headphone. When I plug in the jack the sound mutes completely, so I must re enable the sound, but doing so enables both internal speaker and headphone. I think there is something wrong with alsa driver, because if I run "alsamixer" I can see an "Headphone" slider, but it's disabled, so it's impossible to control the headphone even from console... I'm using Maverick.
