I'm having trouble following exactly what the problem is and what you've
done. At one point during the maverick cycle there were some warnings
about /dev/dm-x, but they did not seem to cause a problem and I believe
have been fixed. If you do a clean install of 10.10 from the live cd do
you have any issues?
