I've got the same problem here as well, also since 9.04 through to 10.10. From my reading it seems that disabling AHCI in the BIOS (or switching to IDE) has fixed the problem for some, however I don't have that option in the BIOS of my laptop. Has anyone had success with this? Any other suggestions?
