I can confirm that it still crashes. I think we're on the right track, though. If I paste oxygen's 16x16 "document-properties.png" into /usr/share/inkskape/icons and rename it "gtk-properties", inkscape's document properties dialog works as expected.
I've been in contact with the qtcurve developer. System icons should be getting mapped via ~/.config/qtcurve/gtk-icons. I guess inkscape carries its own icons, ignores the mapping file (for some reason), and has no fallback.
