Hey Luke, sorry it's been a while since I got back to you. This is a machine at work that I'm not using it all the time. I tried adding that line to alsa-base.conf, but it didn't work. Although, I don't have a thinkpad, this is a ThinkCentre PC ... so maybe it has a different card?
