carl9170 works wonderfully without any disconnections for me under Maverick. Built from compat-wireless. The only issue is that it doesn't seem to want to resume properly once the computer has suspended, I get this error in DMESG (after the USB devices have resumed):

Usually comes back OK after removing/adding the module.
