using 10.10 - upgraded from 10.04 SIMPLE-scan 2-32.0-0ubuntu3 i expected the scanner to start scanning... scanner is an epson 640u -- nothing happend with message - failed to start scan... the config files were messed up on upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10.. had to tweak them manually to get xsane working... no joy for simple scan however.
