While this bug doesn't affect me anymore, I was asking for a quote from an authoritative source, not an opinion on what gksu should or should not do.
To settle the difference of opinion, I've found the relevant text from the man page: gksu is a frontend to su and gksudo is a frontend to sudo. Their primary purpose is to run graphical commands that need root without the need to run an X terminal emulator and using su directly. So Phillip Susi was right, this is not a bug but a feature request. Do you know how I can submit feature requests to gksu? -- gksu doesn't run terminal apps right https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/244930 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
