Public bug reported:

Detects network card, lcpci lists it, but detects/lists no wifi networks,
cannot connect to manually entered network

Work-around by connecting another usb wifi network card, installing
bcmwl-kernel-source, rebooting. After rebooting, removed usb network
card, the broadcom card detected local wifi network ssid's and
connected.

Package bcmwl-modaliases was already installed by default upon system
install. Did not touch it.
