Public bug reported: On my Ubunto 10.10 (64Bit) the installation of the latest nvidia driver (which has been proposed by ) had resulted in just a black screen with mouse pointer. The mouse was working, but keyboard not - even switching to console 1 by pressing Ctrl-Alt-1 was not possible. Hint: I needed to re-install Ubuntu, because "adt-get remove nvidia-current" did not work properly. For this, I am using the older nvidia driver, which came with the DVD iso image. Hope, this information will help. Best Regards Marcel
