Hi Nicolas, I was having some odd problems w/ Maverick on my MSI Wind U230 where it'd refuse to connect to some wireless networks, refused to shut down/reboot, suspend, hibernate, etc. and ended up searching Launchpad for similar issues. Several users suggested blacklisting rt2800pci to address specific wireless issues, and I figured I'd try that for the heck of it. Surprisingly, I can now shut down, reboot, hibernate, and my wireless still works fine. I'll need to try connecting to the problematic network later and will report my findings once done. To blacklist, append the following to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf:
blacklist rt2800pci I hope this helps! -Matt -- wireless (RT3090) doesn't work on msi u230 in Maverick https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/666853 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
