Status in “ubuntu-docs” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs Dell dimension 2100 platform. After install of 10.10 desktop, system constantly cycles between login screen and desktop after password entry. Automatic login option was selected during install process yet system requires login. Display ocassionally gives a different background but system actions remain the same. Redownloaded 10.10, burned ISO onto a different CD, reinstalled -- same results. Boots from either 10.10 CD fine. Runs install with no problems. After CD removed and booting from HD, problems.
