Public bug reported:

In Kubuntu 10.10, Nepomuk is enabled in System Settings. However, Strigi
strangely is not; bold letters in "System Settings -> Desktop Search" tell me
"Strigi service not running". I tick its box in. I click Apply. It sits there,
ticked, no error message, not a popup, not anything in konsole besides Using "
Virtuoso Version: "6.1.2.3127-pthreads" ". I go back to Overview. I go back to
Desktop Search: the box is not ticked, the service is still not running.
.

** Affects: strigi (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
