Public bug reported:

I recently upgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10 using Update Manager

After I did my videos lagged heavily and the sound in them wouldn't play
at all

When playing just an audio fine there would be no sound even though the
time slider was going smoothly

None of this happened before Ubuntu 10.10
