Hi SteveK, the situation appears to be that the DVDREAD_VERSION is set to the version that libdvdread is a fork of, so it's more of an API compatibility flag than an indication of the actual program version number. I gather you discovered some problem where increasing the version beyond 904 solved it; I notice that Debian upped the version to 907 so hopefully that's enough to sort out the issue you saw. See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=532438 for the upstream bug for that change.
If I'm wrong, please reopen this bug and clarify/elaborate. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #532438 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=532438 ** Changed in: libdvdread (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Fix Released -- Reports itself as version 0.9.4 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356825 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
