Ok, now using Tango icons on edgy. I am sorry to say that they suck. They are mushy and indistinct on the default panel. Here are the specific issues:
On battery power: Too much extraneous colour, obscuring how much battery is left On AC: Cord is very light grey, fading into panel FWIW, the panel applet in OS X is very nice. Two colours and very easy to see relative levels. Now I realize we cannot go that simple, but we can be better than this. ** Summary changed: - Nicer Icons + Icons are mushy and indistinct ** Description changed: - Until gnome-power-manager is icon-theme-aware, it would be nice if the - icons could be changed to tango icons. There is a complete set of tango - icons for g-p-m, they work nicely with both Human and Tangerine and even - look better with the stock Gnome theme than the current icons. Would be - nice to get this in before dapper's release. - - Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'gnome- - power-manager'; however, that package was not published in Baltix. + Gnome-power-manager now has tango icons, but they are mushy and + indistinct. -- Icons are mushy and indistinct https://launchpad.net/bugs/40324 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
