When I tested it again, and let it run for more than a minute, I got a
file which is not empty, but it is still unplayable. Please find
attached the resulting test file. I used the following output string:

:sout=#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=1500,fps=25,scale=1,width=640,height=480,acodec=mp4a,ab=128,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:file{dst=/home/feranick/Desktop/test.mp4}
:no-sout-rtp-sap :no-sout-standard-sap :sout-keep
