Public bug reported:

I did a fresh install of 10.10 with an ISO I downloaded today and ran
updates, but no sound, I have tried a number of the things in this
thread without any luck. System dual boots to XP and sound is fine
there. Note I am trying to use the on board sound, not the HDMI built
into the video card. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
