Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dkms
In Ubuntu 10.10 dkms version 2.1.1.2-3ubuntu1.1 recommends only following linux headers: linux-headers-2.6-amd64 | linux-headers-generic | linux-headers I'm using linux-image-generic-pae kernel because on NX feature, and virtualbox-ose package which uses dkms to build vboxdrv. If I install linux-headers-generic-pae manually, all is ok. But if I mark package linux-headers-generic-pae as auto managed in aptitude it is removed because no other packages depend on it. As a result dkms fails to build vboxdrv module. I suppose the issue can be avoided by adding linux-headers-generic-pae as an alternative to dkms dependency. ** Affects: dkms (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Dependency on linux-headers-generic-pae https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/673349 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
