Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

This started happening a couple days ago on a fully-updated install of
10.10 on a MBP 6,2; I'd estimate around Nov. 6th. It used to connect
(although slow in comparison to Windows 7 or OSX Snow Leopard on the
same hardware) to any pre-authenticated WAP. After the update networking
needs to be manually disable and reenable it several times before it
connects. The logfile named "no auto connect 5GHz" is the result of many
attempts to connect, grepped from /var/log/system.
