Public bug reported:

I have attached the screenshot of the updates installed that I feel is
responsible for these 'bad' changes.

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System ->
About Ubuntu.
Description: Ubuntu 10.10
Release: 10.10

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename'
or by checking in Synaptic.
*...@pc:~$ apt-cache policy packagename
N: Unable to locate package packagename

3) What you expected to happen
Work well like it used to (like before Thursday)

4) What happened instead
An ancient looking GUI has come, Visual effects don't work (Compiz Genie,
implosion, Explosion, fading etc), Epiphany not launching, Appointment & Tasks
not working

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
