I've found an old issue for Fedora Core very similar to this one : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=182076 There the wrong behavior is better described described. The only differences are that: - in my case when the touchpad starts its strange behavior, it continues till a restart - I cannot see duplicated mouse/touchpad listed on /proc/bus/input/devices.
This is the relevant section of /proc/bus/input/devices I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=000e Version=0000 N: Name="ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad" P: Phys=isa0060/serio1/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input9 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=mouse1 event9 B: EV=b B: KEY=e420 0 30000 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 B: ABS=f0003 ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #182076 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=182076 -- Using the touchpad the cursor run out of control https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/673399 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
