I am using 10.10 and did the exact same edit to the sudoers file. The result isn't the same: In 10.10 i am also prompted for a password, after clicking on Legitimate, the password window remains but the password field disappears. The buttons Legitimate and Cancel remain. If I then close the window (by clicking X), the updates will be installed.
