Confirmed. Once I removed the edac modules with rmmod i82875p_edac  and
rmmod edac_mc, my intel_agp was finally 'bounded' right with agpgart.
I'm a bit hesitant to just remove modules, and since any new kernel will
have them again, I'm still a bit curious why this these modules are
preventing AGP from working correctly. I have an 82875P chipset, so why
would that module screw things up? Weird..

But thanks a lot for figuring out this much!
