Hi, This is the latest error message I got: "Package operation failed
The installation or removal of a software package failed. Details >" The details are attached in the Text file to this post. A point worth mentioning, some days back my computer would just re-start randomly and would not awaken from suspend. It needed a hard 'reset' (switching off the mains & switching it on). On opening up the CPU & cleaning & pressing everything back the problem vanished. However, this problem started many days later after an update (on a Thursday). So I am not sure if it is that Thursday update or the numerous improper shutdowns that has caused these problems.
