@ridgerunner7: I was having the same error with my USB drives on 10.10 netbook edition. (Actually, I use desktop edition, but I use netbook- launcher.)
I found this solution on the ubuntu forums: Open a terminal and run gconf-editor Browse to 'apps / nautilus / preferences' - uncheck 'media_automount' - uncheck 'media_automount_open' Seems to work so far. USB drives mount and open in nautilius when plugged in. -- DBus error org.gtk.Private.
