Let me correct myself, the first "unblurring" icon is of course the hard disk icon. The KDE icon comes last... :)
Also, I forgot to describe how the bug manifested itself in Kubuntu 10.04. Logging into KDE was fast and the problem occurred later on, whenever my home directory was first queried. That is, when I quit Emacs (it happened on writing the file "~/.recentf"), started Dolphin and moved to "~" or started Konsole and ran "ls -la ~". Interestingly, "ls -l ~" did not trigger the problem. The problem did then vanish, unless I did a lot of programming (I was debugging faulty memory buffers at the time) or had my system running for a looong time with lots of work done. This recurrence, however, was not reproducible - it just happened occasionally. -- Long wait when querying disk https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/677989 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
