@matez: Nicolas is right. I tried commenting out the KBUILD_CFLAGS-line,
but the compilation on the 2.6.37-2 kernel failed somewhere else. I
wrote a mail to the original author of acerhk to find out if anyone
maintained the package, but I got no reply yet.

Absence of acerhk probably accounts for unavailable brightness control,
Fn key (along with NumLk, Home and End keys) and the  temperature
sensors on many laptops. Nothing vital, but still, someone experienced
really should fix this package, please. I hope this will not be as hard,
but I do not have enough experience to hope to fix the compilation
errors in reasonable time.
