@Petr: Some ideas: 1. In several messages about problems with the nVidia driver it is recommended to add not only -> Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True" but also -> Option "DisableGLXRootClipping" "True" to the xorg.conf file Can you try that? 2. you might also try to delete your xorg.conf and re-create it with nvidia-xsettings 3. any error messages related to the video card in your boot logs?
