I have exactly the same problem when trying to install 'Calibre' via Software Centre 3.0.5 on Ubuntu 10.10
Eternal loop of 'Available from the "universe" source' and a button to 'Update Now'. Any solution? Can I install from the terminal as a short-term work- around? Thanks.
