Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. It took so long for me to handle the report because I wasn't informed about it and only stumbled upon it by accident. I've also experienced the problem you describe in the report in the past.
Fortunately, it will not occur anymore in the upcoming version 0.6 of LottaNZB, as the corresponding parts of the application have been rewritten. More importantly, this version will be based on the much more advanced and reliable backend called SABnzbd. The new version is almost ready, and daily builds [1] for Ubuntu are available for those how are interested in giving it a try.
