How it went wrong: - Open seahorse (Password and Encryption Keys) - go to tab "My Personal Keys" - File -> New -> PGP key - enter requested full name, email and comment - no advanced options had been changed - Enter password twice - type some random keys while generating the key - wait till finished - select key - properties - details tab - copy the fingerprint - paste into launchpad FAIL
