Similar problems under 10.10 Using packaged version works sometimes, hangs after "Turning off all DS2409 Couplers" sometimes and returns to user prompt without finding anything after "Turning off all DS2409 Couplers" sometimes. No clear indication of what makes the difference, today Gnome desktop session returns empty every time, Unity hangs if on netbook Battery and works OK on mains power, but I think it was different pattern before...... All tries same netbook same installed software. Hope this help someone make sense of the problem. PS removing the kernal DS2490 module is essential to get this far, why is it included in the default install? Has it ever worked for anyone?
